About Brow & Forehead Lift

As the brow descends with age it can create a tired, heavy, or even cross look, deepen the lines across the forehead, and crowd the upper eyelids. A brow and forehead lift gently repositions the brow to a fresher, more open height and smooths the forehead — not to change your expression, but to restore the one you had years ago. Mr. Khalil favours endoscopic and temporal techniques that achieve this through very small incisions hidden in the hairline.

Who is a good candidate for a brow lift?

A brow or forehead lift suits adults who notice a heavy or drooping brow, deep horizontal forehead lines, or vertical frown lines between the brows that make them look tired or stern. It is often the missing piece for patients who feel eyelid surgery alone will not fully refresh the upper face, and the two are frequently combined. Good candidates are in general good health with reasonable skin quality and realistic expectations about a natural, rested outcome rather than a "pulled" appearance.

What does a brow and forehead lift involve?

The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic or sedation and usually takes one to two hours. Using an endoscopic approach, Mr. Khalil works through a few short incisions concealed within the hairline, releasing and elevating the brow tissues and easing the muscles responsible for frown lines. A temporal (lateral) lift may be used to lift the outer brow specifically. Because the incisions are small and hidden, scarring is minimal and the hairline is preserved.

What is recovery like after a brow lift?

Most people take around two weeks before returning to work and social activities, by which time the initial swelling and bruising across the forehead have largely settled. Some numbness or itching along the scalp is normal in the early weeks and resolves gradually. Strenuous exercise is avoided for about six weeks. The lift gives an immediate freshening that continues to improve as swelling fades, with long-lasting, natural-looking results.

FAQ

Brow & Forehead Lift — frequently asked questions

Will a brow lift make me look surprised or "done"?expand_more

No. The goal is a natural, rested position — subtly raising a heavy brow rather than over-elevating it. The endoscopic technique gives fine control to avoid an operated look.

Should I have a brow lift or eyelid surgery?expand_more

They address different areas — the brow versus excess eyelid skin — and are often combined. At consultation Mr. Khalil assesses whether one or both will best refresh your upper face.

Where are the scars from a brow lift?expand_more

The incisions are short and concealed within the hairline, so any scars are hidden. The endoscopic approach keeps them as small as possible.

How long do brow lift results last?expand_more

Results are long-lasting. Ageing continues naturally over time, but the brow does not simply return to its pre-surgery position — the lift resets it for many years.
